Our team collaborated in the filming of an underwater archaeological mission which brought together 8 countries around the Mediterranean in collaboration with the DRASSM and UNESCO.
The team was in Egypt for a special shoot in order to capture images of beautiful encounters with the fauna and flora of the Red Sea.
ProdAqua was part of the filming of a mission in the Mediterranean Abyss with the robot archaeologist Ocean One K from Stanford University.

The amount of microplastics in the St. Lawrence River is worrying. The Quebecor team trusted us to grant them an interview about this and for the use of images of plastic waste captured by our team.
ProdAqua produced 3 capsules on the chorus frog in English and French for the Montreal Biodôme .
After breeding and rearing in the Biodôme laboratories, chorus frogs have now been reintroduced to Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno.

What a joy to have produced the underwater images, in particularly difficult conditions, of the latest project from the Af-média company. Under the direction of Jon Yu, our team shot the images for this extraordinary project in March 2020. The project involved many challenges and required cutting-edge expertise since it included, in addition to video and photographic capture , 360 capture in the harsh Gaspé weather. Under the drifting ice floes, with water at -2°C, an outside temperature of -20°C, these images of fishing like no other are deserved.
Antoine Nicolas défie vents, glaces et marées en plongeant, à l’année, pour récolter les algues qui poussent près des côtes du Parc national Forillon. Quelques jours plus tard, elles se retrouvent dans les assiettes des plus grands restaurants du Québec et sont maintenant accessibles à tous et toutes. Ce breton se destinait à une carrière en aquaculture. À son arrivée à Grande-Rivière en 2011, il a réalisé que la région regorgeait d’une ressource intéressante et sous-exploitée: les algues.

We followed Olivier and Corinne for several days in their multiple stages in order to be able to serve you the famous Breton crepe, but here revisited with the finest ingredients that their region has to offer.
It was during the filming of our documentary film: “Brittany & Normandy - Tide's story” that we were welcomed by the creperie Histoire de Crêpes. It was a great pleasure for us to produce this project on know-how and commitment to the preservation of Breton gastronomy.

We realized a series of short videos and a report following our observations of razor shells populations in the Mingan Archipelago. As part of the aquatic research carried out in fifth episode of the series, ProdAqua used its expertise in aquatic shooting and in difficult conditions to help finding evidences about the young missing Mélina Martin. The filming took place a day a temperature of -10 ° C and in partially frozen water.

During its training at the National Institute of Professional Diving, the ProdAqua team decided to collaborate with the institute by creating beautiful underwater promotional images that will brighten up their website. INPP is one of the most recognized professional diving schools in the world. For 35 years, INPP has been training professional divers.

Can you hold your breath? The participants of the Apnée Aventure’s 18th Challenge at the CEPSUM really can. The organizers of this challenge chose ProdAqua for the visual production (photos and videos) of the event. This meant that the team also had to hold their breath in order to follow the participants during their underwater performance. This was a considerable technical challenge, but it didn’t stop the ProdAqua team. Once again, congratulations to all participants.

Since 2016, the CASM team offers its members the opportunity to participate in its annual Freeze-Dive event: a whole day of underwater diving. In 2018, ProdAqua was mandated to film and take pictures of this special winter day. Free diving and the cold were two considerable simultaneous challenges, but ProdAqua really enjoyed overcoming them!

In order to embellish Total Diving’s website and to highlight their products (scuba diving equipment), ProdAqua designed tutorials and promotional videos for them. These videos highlight the strengths and characteristics of each product as well as the activities and services offered by both companies.

A first in the history of the Montreal Biodome! In December 2017, the Biodome exceptionally welcomed a dozen recreational divers in its ponds, an event made possible by Société des amis du Biodôme de Montréal and Total Diving. ProdAqua was there to immortalize the divers’ exploration of the ponds. These ponds recreate an ecosystem of the St. Lawrence River and are at 7 ° C. There are large sturgeons and many other emblematic species of Quebec climate. ProdAqua witnessed the divers swimming among striped bass and a multitude of bird species.

During the weekend of 14th and 15th of October 2017, we had the pleasure of covering a freediving internship given by the French world champion Arthur Guérin. We produced, just for the occasion, underwater images, videos, live videos while enjoying the wise advice of the champion!
On the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday – September 8-9-10 2017 Charlevoix region hosted one of the stages of the Ultra-Trail World Tour, the beautiful "Trail Harricana" presented by THE NORTH FACE! We are pleased to have been part of the social media team as a filming / editing / uploading team. The mandate given to us was perfectly suited to our expertise and presented an exciting challenge: 30 hours of non-stop shooting on the trails, day and night. We edited the videos in a car, in the middle of the forest between two stations and posted them whenever we had the chance and enough mobile signal!

Footage of ATLAS Team’s participation in the international race les Voiles de St. Barth 2017! This week and a half of filming was anything but calm. We had to film on a ship tilted at a 45 ° angle that was splitting the water under its hull with spectacular speed spikes! These conditions made it challenging to maintain perfect image stability, to work without disturbing the crew and to protect the material from salt water. Take a look at the final result.

These twenty seconds of footage that took 5 days and 13 hours to film show the accelerated growth of these lentils. Our goal was to observe that which is not visible to the naked eye. Our expertise in time lapses worked flawlessly with the specific parameters of living organisms and with the long, uninterrupted shooting time required by this project.

Meika is an experienced and talented R&B, Soul and Reggae singer of Jamaican heritage. Born in Toronto, she has lived in Quebec City for a few years. We filmed and edited the music video and the making of video of Meika’s song Waiting For Tonight and had two amazing weeks of collaboration with her. The music video’s scenario and the promotion were crafted and planned according to the artist’s international audience.
